About us

Our story began in 2018 when I decided to start my own business, originally only to save up for a dog of my own. What started as a small hobby from my bedroom quickly grew into a thriving business, now based in our studio in the beautiful Northumberland countryside town of Wooler. At long last we welcomed Angus, a beautiful fox red Labrador, into our family last year. Angus has since become a beloved member of the Dave & Dandelion team, often supervising the studio from his favourite spot, and causing the odd bit of chaos! 

Our 'All you need is love' hearts are handmade in small batches. We try to include as many breeds, mixes and coat colours in our range as possible. Having a fox red Labrador myself, a less common coat colour for the breed, I know how exciting it is to find something representing your furry friend. One of my favourite things about my job is researching and creating designs for breeds I've never come across before, so don't hesitate to reach out if we don't yet stock your breed. 

Our personalised items are made completely from scratch from the best quality earthenware clay. First, we select your breed shape from our thousands of designs, we even have multiple shapes per breed to select from for the best fit. Next comes the painting, our pieces are finished with great attention to detail, we match up colouring and markings as closely as we can. Pieces are then fired, hand finished and sent safely to you.
